We just received the sad news that the British actor Robin Sachs has passed away.

I think it’s no secret that Emery and I cast most of our main characters when we write.  Afterwards, the characters develop their own personalities and traits apart from the actors and their characters that inspired us, but that actor is always the seed.

Robin inspired many of those characters for us.

From Peter Oberon in our Rule of Three series to Sebastian Byrne in the Frost and Byrne series we are currently working on to the eponymously named Robin Faulkner in Creatures of Sin, Robin Sachs, with his jocular snideness, cutting humor and, honestly, unconventional British handsomeness, has in many ways been our muse since we started writing together, lo these many years ago.

Thank you, Robin, for everything you’ve done, both for the fandoms you have been so generous to with your time and talents, and for us, as our inspiration and encouragement.

We will miss you.

  1. Hello,

I’m sorry, I didn’t know how to reach out to you.

I just finished reading your Sins series, can you say whether there will anymore books and if so, when can we expect a release date?

    Thank you
    Lee Anne

  2. Hey, Lee Ann! No need to apologize! We’re so glad you enjoyed the books. As much as we love these characters, unfortunately we kind of reached the end of the stories we had to tell about them and don’t expect to do any more for them. I won’t say never, because they have surprised us before, but as of right now, their stories are done. Thanks for asking!

  3. Please excuse me for posting this comment here. I’m not sure how else to reach you. I had purchased your entire Sins series (as well as other of your books) through Amber Quill Press. I was really sad when AQP went out of business, but thought all was fine since I had your books (as well as AQP books from other authors downloaded to my tablet). Unfortunately, my tablet crashed during an update and I had to restore to factory settings. Foolishly, I hadn’t backed up the tablet, so I no longer have your books. :( Are you looking for another publisher? I really hope the answer is yes. I’d be glad to purchase the books again, since I really enjoyed them.

  4. Karynn,

Thank you for reaching out to us. There is nothing more devastating than tech failure and losing files. We’re currently researching our options for getting Creatures of Sin and our other books back out there. It means a lot to both of us that you’ve reached out and enjoy our characters as much as we do. We’ll definitely keep you apprised of any developments.
